Dr. Nesrine Nasseur

Hello and welcome! I’m Nesrine, an HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist (PYL043733) with over a decade of NHS experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. I have always been driven by a commitment to trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care. founded MENA Roots Therapy to provide an integrative approach to mental health support, uniquely attuned to each individual’s journey. The aim is to choose the approaches that fit you and your journey, not box you into one way of working.
I believe that with the right tools and support, every person has the power to grow, heal, and uncover their resilience. This belief is the heartbeat of my work—helping clients find strength in their stories, build self-awareness, and reclaim confidence on their journey toward well-being.
As a first-generation Algerian-British psychologist, my understanding of identity, family, and cultural nuance runs deep. I know what it means to navigate the complexities of belonging, to hold the weight of expectations, and to carry stories that span generations. That’s why I explore not just the individual but the family and community dynamics that shape who we are, offering a space to reflect, understand, and grow.
My approach is holistic—healing isn’t just about the mind. It’s about the body that carries the stress, the environment that shapes us, and the history that lingers in our day-to-day lives. Through evidence-based care and a trauma-informed lens, I create a space where individuals, families, and communities can breathe, explore, and flourish.
Outside the therapy room, I find joy in the simple and grounding things—horse riding, connecting with nature, and learning from my own experiences as a first-generation Algerian woman navigating motherhood, identity, and culture in the UK. These parts of my life remind me every day of the importance of compassion, humanity, and understanding in this work.
At MENA Roots Therapy, I’m proud to work with a network of trusted psychologists. If I believe a different therapeutic approach might better serve your needs, I will guide you toward the support that’s right for you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s about finding what helps you feel seen, understood, and supported.
